Blimey- I just watched your "For Rudolf Sosna" vid (behold the power of Ning- I know you mentioned this vid on the list ages ago, but I didn't click it till it appeared here), and I'm seriously impressed by the music that goes with it. Tremendous stuff.
The gypsy music- I liked what I played, but the sheer size of it scared me, I never got through it all. My opportunities for listening to new stuff have often been very limited in recent times- however with the magnificent new headphones which you will have seen me banging on about, I am once again doing battle with the darker recesses of my music collection. In fact there are various CDs I actually bought that I've still never listened to, so don't feel that the gypsy music was singled out for special neglect. And with books it's even worse- I have *dozens* of 'em sitting waiting to be read. Ah well. So anyway- I'll see what I can do recording-wise... let me ponder it.
First things first did you enjoy the gypsy stuff?
I suppose I miss the radio broadcasts - mostly from BBC radio 3 - of UK jazz and avant garde musicians - maybe you could record something there?
Every time I see your name in my inbox I suffer a pang of remorse. It is high time I sent you something in return for the apparently infinite "too much gypsy music" dvd. Give me some notion of what would float your boat and I will see what I can do.
