From all the postings to the Faust list, it's obvious that many of you have your own musical (or at the very least audiological) ventures. I thought it might be a nice idea to have a single place for all the members' projects as I have completely lost track of who does what on the Faust list (aside from JHP and the Ectogram crew).
As for myself, I play with a bunch of friends as The Fury of Tim. At the moment we've no studio recordings (but that will change come December) and only have a few ropey live mp3s (which are on our myspace page or downloadable in better quality from our dot com site). I play guitar mostly but I've been known to add vocals or Buddha Machine to the mix. I also do solo stuff but to be honest it's not great and I don't give it much time (but I have a myspace here for those interested).
We are currently in a collaboration with Gustavo Jobim, but the way the project has gone it involves lots of painstaking workstatio work so it is going slowly.
We also have the shredder thing with John V Bagman but we are finding difficulty in getting the time to make the trip down to his shredder.
I would like to upload a video, but I wouldn't like gatecrash an area belonging to Faust- does any one know what happens when you use the upload video link from my videos?
I did it - and it links from my page here - but also shows up in general from the main page. Not sure if I broke any rules...wait a minute - this is a Faust site!
If you're worried about bandwidth, the place where the video is hosted will be the one hit, not the Faust page. So if it's on youtube, it will be streamed from youtube and will have no effect on this site.
Hi, currently I am playing solo live elctronics and guitar (a myspace profile is under construction)
and the same instruments in the group El Topo: http://www.myspace.com/eltopogroup
there's a duo that still make some live appearances too: http://www.myspace.com/lanzisodano
I have done/occassionally do/mean to do more of.......my own thing...... it's usually just me due to lack of willing participants and/or my complete inabilty to let anyone else have any say over how it turns out...
hello. in the interests of sharing. i record drone or quiet psychedelia as myself and also under the alias Psychic Space Invasion. all my previous releases are available for free download via www.quietworld.co.uk (go to the 'releases' page and navigate via the 'previous' link in the bottom right). plus there's the ubiquitous myspace site.
I also write a monthly zine called Wonderful Wooden Reasons which reviews new releases from all branches of the freaky music tree. there's a link to it from the Quiet World site and the PSI myspace.
peace
